Jacob from the Old Testament, grabbed the heel of his brother, Esau, during birth. Making "Ya'aqobh/Ya'aqebh" (Jacob) the younger twin, and was named, A Supplanter or The Grabber of the Heel, by his dad, Isaac, and his mom, Rebecca. In Latin, his name is Iacobos. Ironically, he tricked his dad into giving him the blessing that was to be given to Esau. His mother believed Jacob should've been the one to have the blessing. So Jacob was led by his mom, Rebecca, into committing the thievery of Isaac's blessing to Esau. The way Isaac, their blind, old dad, asked Jacob if it was really Esau, brings a vibe of the Tale, The Little Red Riding Hood. When He questions Jacob's voice, body, and character. Jacob gets away with it and goes on to have harmony with his brother after the ordeal, and he leads 12 tribes of Isreal. |
